Seems to me I noticed a posting regarding the states whose sires produced the most winners. I weed out the SC and OH sires from the races at the MD circuits I usually play. But I would like to know other than KY what the top thoroughbred winner states are -- I know MD is up there.
Thanks for your input.

Val, how about Allen's Prospect and two punch for dominating Maryland.

tomcat,
I know Allen's Prospect very well. He belongs to Country Life Farm and my good friend Joe whose sons run the business.
Good handicapping and happy holidays

Val, my partner and I pinhooked an Allen's Prospect weanling a few years back. He really looked nice, you could see the Mister Prospector in him. We did OK with him, but not as well as I hoped for. But you always hope for more than you get.

Thoroughbred racing is a tough business,no matter which side of the rail you are working.
I am trying to decide whether I want to take a position in a syndicate. Have you ever done this?
I would own 1/10 of the business.
Take care.

Are you talking about working for a syndicate or participating in one? If you are
going to participate I would want to know who is calling the shots, how or how often
will you be informed of what is going on. Mostly, make sure you know and trust who
you are dealing with.

Thanks for the good advice. I am researching that information. The last thing I want is the glamor of "free" box seats to the tune of $10k/year to watch my horse lope around the track. With a bad P-scan to boot!!!!!
Take care and have a great holiday.

Val/All,

For a low-cost way to enjoy horse ownership, you might check out:

There are some very good horsemen (and handicappers) in this group.
