Is anyone having trouble downloading and exporting over to access? Particulary HOL.

No problem at ll with HOL HX4 export/import for today.

Yes only HX4.
I downloaded several tracks. I delete them by doing the following. CD| CD HTR DEL *.txt
Donnie showed me how to do this. When i did it it didnt delete those tracks. Maybe its because they didnt have TXT. Dont know if that means anything

That command deletes all the files with a txt extension.

Is that all you want to do there?

KeyRace is a good program to clear out all the old race files and export files before downloading the next days files.

Sometimes I use it. When I do it is just a small routine I do.

Run Keyrace to remove files.
Run FileRat to download race files.
Run HTR2 to export files.
Run Access to import files.

That routine is great for those that delete all the old race files before downloading the new race files.

But everyone has to set the routine that works for them.

Ill try your idea when i get time.
Is File Rat 1.52 the newest version?
Any ideas why today i can download some tracks and not HOL and nothing will delete out using my method.

i dont know if this means anything. i export both PL4 & Pl5 into access HX4. I cant figure out why that is only track that wont export.

Open up HTR2. Click the down arrow on the track list and go to the bottom.

Is HOL for 10 Jul 08 there?

If so open it and check the date on each race.

If there is a left over race from last year it will probably the last one or two races.

Just delete the races with the 2008 date.

That should fix you up for now if that is the problem.

I just checked. HOL last year only had 8 races on 10 Jul so that shouldn't be your problem.

I would try downloading HOL to a separate directory and exporting from there until you figure out what the problem is.

Dates were ok
I got the error message. 58 records were deleted because the data you imported doesnt match the field data type or field size property in your destination table.
So i said ok and imported in all the other tables and my report came up.

That error normally means duplicate records.
