I think I see how to filter for ML favorites by selecting Odds Type of MLO and checking the favorites only box under the odds range. I don't see anyway to filter for ML 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc. With the addition of the FAV1, FAV2 grade filter I think it could be very useful to add this ability so that you can search for 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc MLs against weaker FAV1s.

Please forgive me if you can already do this and I just don't see it or if I am not understanding something above correctly. I have tried to read through everything before posting.

That is something in the export but it is not in Robot II.

Volunteer - must be from Tenn! Welcome to our board, thanks for chiming in

Yes, i added the FAV1 and FAV2 to the next Robot

Never used the ML full rank for a lot reasons: inability to adjust after scratches, too many ties and the fact that it is a subjective outside factor not created by any our records, stats or ratings.

Go Vols!

You could probably work ties with giving ties the same rank or something but if you can't adjust for scratches then that would probably be a problem. I understand what you are saying about the ML being subjective and I am not looking to use it to make selections directly but I would think you could use it to find places to go against 'dumb money' as I would think the ML does have some influence over the less informed. Maybe I am wrong but if that is true I would think it could help to find larger payouts. Since the FAV1/FAV2 work off the ML I thought I would request it as it may have some usefulness to me. I can probably work around it to some extent or give the extract a go as Rick suggests I could do to see if what I am thinking even has any validity. Thanks!

No doubt the ML has influence Vol - but do you think the public is ranking it ?

No, they notice the ML odds below 5/1 and who the favorite is. You got that in the Robot now.

Use the K rank as your window to overlays instead as it is much more accurate for rank purposes.

Try exporting the race(s) in HX4 and open it in Excel.

You can check out the Spec File for the HX4 export in the HTR Library, near the bottom of the page.

Field 96 is the rank field for MLO - rMLO

What I normally do in Excel in open the export file, insert a blank line at the top and number the fields across the top. It is easier to find the fields when you get the field number from the Spec File.

I will take a look at that. Thank you Ken.

Thank you Rick. I will have to look into the exporter also.
