Here are a few in my opinion sold offshore betting outs that will pay you money to try them.
1) http://www.betmega.com They give you $35 "no strings attached" to bet with on their internet horsey board. I used them, went broke, and had a silly fight with them, but.....Gramps used them and got a check for $200 with "no money down".
2) http://www.betroyal.com $25 "no strings attached". And they even take Fairmount Park!
3) http://www.dejavusports.com $25 "no strings attached". I got paid out $240 from this one, although I re-deposited $50 to do it.
4) http://www.direcbet.com $25 "no strings attached". Couldn't bet horses while I was there, "under construction", but you can bet the Raptors......
Couple of thoughts about betting offshore.
1) If you have moral quams about it, don't.
2) If you have legal quams about it, don't.
3) You should open accounts with http://Neteller.com and http://Paypal.com first. These are used to move money around. Usually no service charges here, they charge the books, and the really good news, you can get paid any winnings OR reload your account in minutes! No more "your check is in the mail"......one and a half weeks wait I have with the "legit" boys.
4) You are out of the pools. BIG advantage at the small tracks.
5) You can use/should use a Yahoo/hotmail e-mail address in case you get "mail for life".
6) If you want to go this way and take a shot, I wouldn't mind if you e-mailed me at person4762388@yahoo.com Some of the books bonus me for getting them a new member, some don't.
And my favorite offshore book, which is not listed above, is http://www.gcsports.com Anyday I go broke in their account, they put up $50 in I put up $50 to bet with. Starts off my new day with $98 (minus a $2 Paypal fee they have) Fortunately (or unfortunately) I haven't tapped out there now in two weeks, if I can work it up to $1000 will withdraw (or if I go broke will put in a new $50)
Happy Thanksgiving everybody. Have a good one, and I hope the above information is of value to some.

Carl,
Thought I would check out the freebies and see if any of these seemed worth continuing with afterwards. Betmega and Royal set up OK. But Dejavu, while mentioning the test drive account on their webpage, had no way of setting up this kind of account as far as I could tell. After I established an account with them, they only gave their regular funding options. Also, I could find nothing anywhere on the GCSports site regarding a $50 start up or refunding bonus. Is this hidden away somewhere? If so, how does one access it?

With Dejavu, I had to register first, then I got an e-mail back with password etc.
I then e-mailed back about "$25?", the $25 then showed up.
I think they are O.K. maybe a new book and stil working the kinks out. They are a little slow to grade also, but they always do.
And they did pay me O.K.
GCS has some sort of clink on about "$50 bonus for football season". If you read that, you will see that any amount deposited "from $50 to $200" gets you a $50 bonus. So I deposit $50, they deposit $50 (only takes minutes for their matching to appear) and it works good. There are of course limitations to this, there is a 10X playthrough and your last transaction had to be a deposit to qualify. But, all in all, a great deal IMO, especially for the smaller player.

Bet Mega paid me as soon as I faxed them a copy of my driver's license (done to stop people from setting up duplicate accounts). They deducted the free $35 that they started me with and $15 more for the Western Union fee. The money was available within a hour of faxing them my driver's license.

I looked at GCS board, did not see that "matching $50" offer anymore.
Opps.
Guess I better stop going broke there. I win for awhile, they change everything up on me.
IF I do tap out though, I'll call in and see if they will still honor it.

Carl,
Thanks for all info. I'll email you if I continue past the free periods, which I'll probably do since I can't find anywhere else to play Fairmont (Youbet isn't available where I live, and I'm not sure I'd use them even they were, given their financial problems). Even though Royal has been around longer than the others, their web software is very slow and unresponsive. Dejavu and MegaSports both seem to have good internet capability and generous funding bonuses. MegaSports has decent endorsements (Bettorsworld, Prescription, OSGA, etc.), but Margarita Island (part of Venezuela) is a bit scary compared to most of the other Island locales. Congress is also trying to ban internet casino and sports gambling again, and all these places are primarily sportsbooks. They may thus feel the brunt of the assault. Racing only shops may be able to slide by because of a Congressional exemption given a few years ago to closed network style operations, which the existing onshore places fall under .

Wouldn't give up on Bet Royal just yet.
They are moving to a bigger office, some transition problems.
I win three hundred at the offshores today, give it back on the NFL. (Naturally Foolish Losers).
Duh................. (at least YOUBET won't let me bet sports hehe.)

Dealing with BetMega is an experience, to say the least. For now, all horse bets have to be made by phone, and you have to have your bet in at least five minutes before post time, or it's no action. In addition to that, their clocks are about three minutes fast, and the clerks, most of whom don't understand much English, are very slow. In other words, you'd better be phoning 12-15 minutes prior to post in order to get your bet down.
The nice thing about BetRoyal is that they don't deduct the original $40 stake before paying you. They do charge higher-than-normal transfer fees, especially for Western Union payouts. Once you've rolled your $40 over five times and faxed them a copy of your driver's license, you can get your money. Nor is there any limit to how much you can win on your free account.
I got lucky and ran my $40 into $150. I faxed them the needed license, and, after finding out that it would cost me $36 to receive $114 by Western Union (!), opted for the Neteller payout, which was only $15. The $135 was in my Neteller account almost instantly.
It's a nice freebie, but I wouldn't want to have to deal with the bet-takers on a regular basis.

Gramps,
I haven't had any problems putting my free $ into action online with MegaSports (BetMega). Is there a problem with doing that if you're using real $? The Dejavusports site wouldn't let me log on at all today.

NOTE: I misnamed BetRoyal as BetMega in the first sentence in the original post. I had no problems whatever with BetMega. Everybody there knew what they were doing, and I was paid by Western Union within a matter of an hour of requesting it and faxxing them a copy of my driver's license. I meant BetRoyal, and the above post applies to them.
