Im trying to put all the Derby cards from the past eight years in the same folder but encounter the problem of overlaping dates.

Any way around this?

In other words, last year's Derby was May 3, the same date as the 2003 edition, so when i place the 2008 race into the folder I set up for the race it just copies over the 2003 race. I tried renaming the 2008 race but that didn't work. Idea of course is to run the ROBOT for all the Derbys.

I tried all my tricks and couldn't get it to work.

It has the same date and race #. I tried changing the race # and that wouldn't work either.

You could try 2 directories and have one of the duplicate dates in each directory along with all the other races and run the robot on each.

The only way I know of getting them all together is exporing to spreadsheet or database.

Can you unzip them in different folders, then in one, change the race file names to a different track, then copy them all into the same folder....just do your robot across all tracks, knowing they are the same track.....?? Between calsses so I don't have the ability to try this....just thinking out loud here....

I teach for a company called New Horizons Computer Learning Center, and am based in Des Moines, IA. New Horizons is world-wide, but in Des Moines I actually use horse-racing data in my examples....don't think you can get that anywhere else!

I teach about 30 different application-level classes. Access (obviously my favorite!), Excel, Word, Powerpoint, GoLive, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Fireworks, Microsoft Project, Visio, Intro to VBA for Access and Excel, HTML, Flash, etc., etc. They keep me plenty busy!

A couple of years ago I taught a prep course for A+ certification.

Changing the track name appears to work.

I will post the Ky Derby files and change the name of the track in the old 03 file to CD2.

The 01 file is in as race 8 in the 07 file, which is race 10.

Also doing same thing for Preakness and Belmont.

2003 track names changed to PI2 and BE2.

New Horizon is where I took my first Access class many years ago. Someone starting out
would benefit by starting with this company. Might as well learn it right at the beginning.
