Surfside DMR Results

A few HTR members attended the Surfside Qually last weekend at the Del Mar OTB facility. Mike Acosta is the only one i see listed on the top 15 result below, nice try in a tough field Mike! Format was to bet 16 Santa Anita (only) races over 2-days with a $20 WPS format capped 40-20-10.

Final results from the Surfside website at this link below, no listing for prize money but i think it was about $10k for the winner and top3 got an NHC slot for 2010. If anyone was there, please fill us in on the total number of players involved, i don't think it sold out (200) though.

I got a call from MVM tonight (Wed) he competed in the Surfside contest and said there were just over 200 entries total, but that represented about 100 people as most bought 2 or 3 entries. He is now in Vegas and deciding between the Santa Fe or the South Point contests this weekend. Sounds like he is leaning towards the 1-day Santa Fe contest with the two NHC quallies. If he goes, he promised a report. Any of the rest of you attending these contests, please let us know the results and news.
