As an on-again, off-again user of this software I am curious which reports you HTR veterans consider the most useful and why.
When I was using the software, I found the Tomcat report to be the best to take to the track with me. I think it would be helpful for new and prospective users to hear how others are using HTR.
Thanks

JimG,
I could be wrong here...But I think it would be very difficult to be successful using just one HTR screen. IMHO, it is best to use the screens in conjunction with each other. What I try and do is if I am limited to just handicapping one race, I will scan at just about all the screens to see if anything catches my eye. The little B and B contest give us some good time at the driving range to practice before we head out and have to hit the links.

Jim:
I do 99% of my playing right here at my desk so I constantly handicap ahead during the day.
Like Glen I'm moving around a lot trying to answer pieces of the puzzle as they come up.
In 2001 I like the Cramer figs & the d/s, trk & C90 ranks for them. Also the PP's which show the jock & trainer rtgs & switches. Love the pedigree screen, horse performance screen & jock & trainer screen where the record with the horse is shown.
Love the Prats for a quick picture of a race & for adjusted pace figs.
In HTR 'Classic' I always check the post position %'s & I like to check for George's K1 favorites on HTR rtg screen & PScan screen. I also love the way the pp's are set up there showing what EP the horses ran against. My biggest wish for HTR 2001 is that a pace pp screen will be set up similarly (showing what early pace the horse ran against) with adjusted figs. Cramers in Prat style would be pretty cool too;)
PS Glen Nice horse above-Hope you got that for captaining the winning team at Paceadvantage!

The midget horse was just something I came across the net. Let's try this one...

I agree..it would be tough to make it with just one piece of the pie. If I had too..would be tough to decide.
Likely would choose Prat. For form alone.
Love the new HTR2001 but would want all the screens from there.
Maybe the TLC printout. More info there than you can shake a stick at.
See..would be tough to pick just one. Maybe once HTR2001 in complete it will all be in there.

Interesting that the one screen I use to make 80% of my wagering decision with is not even mentioned by the others above. I start and end my process with screen 1 (Velocity). Must admit I at least scan most of the others mentioned above.
Have used screen 1 so long can get a complete mental picture of the race just by scanning the fps numbers for first, second, third fraction.

On further thougtht, I should amend my above comment. Me thinks if you are a sheets style player, PRAT should be good enough as a single program.

Yeah, screen 4 is pretty solid. In matter of fact, I take my Sainted Mother to the Simulcast center about 6 to 12 times a year. All I do is print her out screen 4 and tell her to keep an eye out for $ and $$ plays, VBET and Prb%. I end up funding her $1/$12 Tris (ab/abc/abcde). She has hit some crazy stuff using that sheet. In matter of fact, I now refuse to sign her IRS tickets now... No joke... She is a fearless wagerer always looking for value.
