Error 62 Crashes HTR / Solution

A Bad File from LRL Results posted yesterday Nov 5 will crash HTR or Maxvel when processed.

Ron has fixed the file to remove the bad race (7), just download LRL Wed Nov 5 Results again and everything will work.

The reason this happened was that LRL scratched 13 horses from 7th race, which exceeded the file capacity (12 horses) for scratches in a single race.

Sorry about the crash, it's a rare fluke to see that many horses scratched

I just downloaded the results/chart file for LRL for 5 Nov 08.

Ran great.

After you download the results be sure to delete race #7.

The 7th race (LRL Nov 5) will be a toss out from your data. Delete that race. It is no relevance anyway with a 3-horse field and 13 scratches off the grass. They should have cancelled it.

We can't properly fix the 7th race in the file without leaving one of the scratches intact. The capacity of the Results Files (created in 1996) is 12 scratches. Ron reports that this number of scratches has happened just 4 times in over 10 years and none for a long time.

The other races at LRL on Nov 5 will process ok and remain part of the file when you re-download.
