well finally got the guts to download htr demo. my first question is that it always wants to know if i want to print whatever. my question is how do i view without printing it out.

First download and read the help file.

Second, you have to open a race first. Highlight the race date and hit enter, then use the options on the right to view the different screens.

that was easy, wouldn't have figured it out myself.
my first question is:
in a sprint i see ratings for each call, then i see on another screen fractions for each call.
are those fractions track to track and variant adjusted? or are they the raw fractions?

four_m: not sure which screen specifically you are using, but here is the general poop --

The fractional times are raw times in HTR2001 pp reports, same with BL in those pp's - raw.
DOS-HTR screen (5) has the same raw BL in the pp's. All of these are same as DRF pp's.

PRAT and Impact ratings are adjusted for track-to-track, distance and daily surface variant.
Same is true of all velocity numbers and projected-times/projected-BL in the Velocity Plus screen in HTR2001 or the screen (1) from HTR-DOS. Any ratings or rankings or figures of any kind throughout HTR are likewise adjusted toward today's distance and surface.
