Looking For Kris Prather

i've been away for a few months and was looking for kris prather the jockey who tore up Turfway this past winter...............was wondering what happened to her ? i loved the way she rode and have a hard time believing she can't find mounts...............thanks for your help

Jockey Kris Prather suffers knee injury


Apprentice jockey Kris Prather is expected to be out possibly six to eight weeks after suffering a knee injury in the starting gate while aboard three-year-old Fiscal filly Extra Change, trained by John Arens, prior to the sixth race at Turfway Park on Saturday.

Prather, 22, suffered ligament damage just below her right knee according to her agent, Steve Elzey. She is expected to return to her parents’ home in Montana for further examination.

Prather began riding professionally last summer and she currently leads all North American jockeys in wins this year with 109.

Thanks Neil. Wizard forwarded me a response he got from her indicating she plans to ride the tail-end of CD and then "go for" riding title at ELP. Hope she can as sure is fun to watch and bet. Her career reminds me of Stevie Cauthen who became so popular any animal he rode automatically became 3-5 odds.
