Two questions

1 - who is going to be there (besides me) this Saturday?
2 - does anyone know what the tracks are that will be in play (i lost the letter i received from the track that probably told me that)?

Tracks in play are AQU, HAW, KEE and SA (through the last race at HAW). I'm betting that the mandatory races will focus on the big prep races.

Good luck there tomorrow Henry!
I have played there many times past. But I think there is a hex on me there! Arlington is the first track I ever attended at the age of 16. Very first bet was a daily double which obviously I won ($122 payout!). Have not done spit there in any of the tournaments I have attended.
Kick ass Henry!

I've always followed the rule to never bet bet against a first time handicapper at a race track.

The nice thing about tomorrow is even if I do squat there will be some great races to watch. Its hard to be in a town on a major derby day though and not be at the track where the derby is being run.

I'm guessing Daven will be there, he qualified at AP last year.

Hoipe you guys catch the qually. We got shut out of the 1st NHC Online that also takes place this Saturday, but i'm know there are some HTR players that got in. Going to be a huge day of racing for tournaments and all horseplayers - knock em dead Henry and everyone else competing somewhere on Saturday.

yes, Daven will be here. I'll try to update as the day goes along. From what I can tell it looks like AQU may be okay today with no washout - anyone know anything different?

Geez you’re up early!

They actually could have run yesterday on a fast track. The rain completely missed them. I’m hearing moderate rain this morning and only 10% chance this afternoon.

Good luck Henry!

Thanks Dan - something tells me i'm not the only htr guy up early (or up late depending on perspective). Best of luck on that carryover at SA today - with another million added to the pot.

sorry Henry....I probably beat you on the early part! I have been cleaning my garage since 5:30 this morning...not too many horse races going on out there! But I gotta get the time freed up for this afternoon! GOOD LUCK today!!!

Obviously, since I hadn't posted earlier the finish did not go well. It ain't much fun to be sitting in 16th and 25th place on the two tickets with two optionals and two mandatories left on each and end up going nowhere at the end.

I don't know whether the folks at the Orleans felt this way but it seemed like the day started and ended with chalk with some nice price horses in between. I had a nice run with Recapturetheglory on both tickets in the Illinois Derby and Little Belle in the Ashland but just could not bring Coast Guard (3rd) home in the SA Derby or Roman Emperor or Spurrier home in the Wood.

I don't think any HTR guys had a great finish. But that didn't stop us from driving 50 miles to someplace near the Mississippi (or at least it seemed that way) for a very nice dinner.

On to the next one.
