I knew they were doing some neat things over on the Del Mar web site... but have you stopped by their pedigree and race databases recently? Some pretty good, free, stuff.
As an example, try this link, and type in "Blue Grass", double click on Toyota Blue Grass Stakes, and - Bob's your uncle - there are pedigrees of winners going way back.
