Hi Guys and Gals,

Have been doing pretty well playing this spot play and i'm surprised at some of the prices i'm getting ...............had a $15 winner at penn last night..........i'm just curious how well this will do over alot of races............any help you guys could give would be appreciated.........
i'm using the top 2 horses
i use the PL-5 screen
the horses must be ranked 1st or 2nd in HTR-K-POW-P-scan
i have been hitting alot of exactas using this formula and play both to win if the odds are right.............my theory is if the same 2 horses are picked by all factors must be a strong horse............here is an example below..........
PENN NATIONAL 5/09/01
RACE 6 HTR K POW P-SCAN
7-8 7-8 7-8 7-8
the 8 wins and pays $ 15.80
just curious how well the top 2 do over a long period of time in this situation

PLAYS for a few tracks today are 5/10/01
Bel HOLLY PENN PIM
R-1 3,5 R-3 2,5 R-3 3,4 R-1 2,6
R-3 4,6 R-4 1,7 R-2 1,3
R-8 8,5 R-6 6,4 R-5 3,2
R-7 1,4 R-6 3,7
R-8 2,1

Wizard.........had the same problem and Rick mentioned how to fix the column lineup.
Think if I type the fix here it will screw up this message. Maybe Rick will "fix" yours and
then you can use edit to look at the fix. Has to do with entering a command called "quote"
before and after the column stuff.

Also not sure what your rule is that you want queried. Are you saying the same two horses
must be ranked first or second in each of HTR K POW PSCAN? Or would a single horse
ranked first or second in all those qualify?

The Wizard,
I edited the message for you. You just enter [ code ] at the beginning and [ /code ] at the end. (Leave the spaces out)

Click on FAQ, on 'Are there special codes I can use in my post?' and then click on 'here' and it will give you a list of what is available.

Added:
After adding the code the message didn't line up as it should. I had to go in and adjust the spacing. That was the first time I have noticed that.

Thanks rick for fixing up my mess.........................the answer to the question that was asked ..................... top 2 horses need to be ranked 1-2 in all the colums htr-k-pow-pscan it could be 1-2 in htr and 2-1 in k as long as its the same 2 horses.........looking for 2 horses not just 1...........also need to be done after scratches cause it will change after the fact.............thanks rick for helping me out.....................

Ran a few tracks with your play. The dutching win % is lower then I thought it would be. Exa box story is not good. Me thinks there is just to much chaulk in there.

Probably can do better when playing as you can pass on the real low payers, not worth the risk.

MikeDee,
When doing attachments, if you preview you have to go back and add the attachment again.

Just something you have to get use to, or do it the way you did.

Mike,

Thanks for your time and effort running the figures .............you are right the roi is not good..............i think the only way to go with that is to look for value and let the low price ones go................really appreciate you time and work.................
