The difference is that the radiation from even one nuclear bomb will have huge long-range and far-reaching negative effects. Also, Pakistan has nuclear weapons, and they probably wouldn't appreciate the nuclear fallout from a bomb dropped next door, nor would the rest of the Middle East. As one general said: "I don't know what weapons will be used to fight World War Three, but the war after that will be fought with stones and clubs."

I am not a big fan of nuclear war, but I am not a big fan of terrorist *ssholes either! How dare someone do what they did and hide behind their religion as justification? If we fight a conventional fight, they WILL win. The gloves have to come off, and the "war" must be unconventional. Every bountyhunter in the world, every assassin in the world should be given a roundtrip ticket to Afghanistan. Set a price for any and every head of Al Quada and obviously 5Mil for Osama, paid in cash, upon the delivery of his head. Sound crazy? Maybe one should reanalyze the thought process that must have went on to pull off what happened on Sept 11. Sound barbaric? Check out the flat bodies that are coming out of the rubble.

No, nuclear is not the answer, but if they fight outside the box, then so should we!
