lake of the Ozarks, MO.

I was at Panera Bread having a Latte on Saturday. It seems that the HTR board and downloads are blocked. I am interested to know if this has happen in other parts of the country in national establishments.

no idea why they would block us Jet, unless they put us on a porn list! There are no monetary transactions on our site, not sure why it would stopped for commerce or gambling either.

you should definitely be able to back door the download by using the HTR2 download utility; or your could try http://htr.horsedata.com as the direct browser link

in the case of the bbs try www.homebased2.com and try to work your way in from Ricks original website

I would be curious to see if you could get to Equibase, the NTRA, or the DRF from there?

Many public sites have some kind of sensoring going on. I would think kids are allowed in there, so any stuff for the 18+ crowd may be kept out.

We all love horse racing, but to many it is still an 18+ activity because it is classified as gambling.

Now if you can get to Equibase, the DRF, NTRA, race tracks, etc. And yet cannot get here, then we have to open a can of Whoop A$$ on them!

I have to add that just because you are at a Public Wifi, you can still be connecting to someone elses set-up. This scam has been run to gather keystrokes giving them information for bank accounts, email, shopping, etc.

Remember that even with a Yahoo Email, they can get many personal things by simply going to the site and using the "forgot password" link.

When I was in Vegas, I used the wired Internet in the room for just this reason!

I recall that a friend once told me he had been blocked from a horseracing site while at work. He determined that this was because the word “sex” appeared in the material he was attempting to view. I guess Ken will have to rename field nSEX.

:D I went by Panera today and talked to the general manager no less. He told me the block software was controlled by the main office in St. Louis. He told me that he was told to put in a naughty word and see if it was blocked. This has become a non issue to me since the Lattes are lousy. You can't get much for free anymore. I will go by tomorrow on my way to Starbucks which we just found today and check out what happens when I put in the word Tomcat.

BTW I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

that's funny, i went by panera the other day and, yep, could not get HTR. I got some notice that it was a forbidden site because of "other" reasons.

So, just for the heck of it (what do you expect from a guy that bought playboy for the articles), I tried a couple of sex sites. Yep, no problem, got to check out all of the porn I wanted.

Just goes to show ya' I guess. Not sure what it goes to show ya, but something.
