View Full Version : Would somebody do a search for me, please?

I won't have access to HDW until the first of the month, and I'm still too busy getting caught up with moving back here to have the time, but I was idling looking through the entries at Supertote and saw a horse at Bay Meadows trained by Gennadi Dorochenko. In the equipment column, it said Boff, which of course is blinkers off.
Even without having a database to search through, I remembered that blinkers off is a favorite Doro move, and I remember a few boxcar payoffs on his horses with that from years ago. I played the horse, and it wired the field handilly and paid a modest (for Doro) $18.20.
Would somebody who has Impact in an Access database mind going through and doing a query on:
tTRN Like dorochenko* (would return dorochenko)
nBK 2 (blinkers off)
I don't know for sure, but I'd imagine that you'll find a few instances of this and possibly a couple of decent winners, and I'm curious to know if I remembered right or just got lucky.

$98.80 on $38 bet, not including last night.
Welcome back Sam!!!!
I've got a blinkers off play I've been meaning to post. Been chalky lately but had a huge ROI over Nov-May. I'll put it in the Hcp'g section for others to test.

Blinkers off has been a terrific angle with breakeven roi on all plays. Combining blinkers off with many other factors can produce positive roi. For example, combining with F1 ranked 1 has produced a very respectable positive return in just about all odds categories.

Pizzaman:
Great info....no need to really post my play which is mainly F1 #1 & blinkers off anyway.

On which screen do I find blinkers off?
Thanks.

Jackad:
In HTR go the HTR consensus screen and blinkers off is listed as 'bx' under 'chg'.
In HTR 2001 its on the program screen. Trainers record with 'bx' is usually or, maybe, always listed in the comprehensive trainer report.
