Fair Grounds heads up…
The Times-Picayune is reporting that the Fairgrounds workouts are playing about a full second slower than pre-Katrina.
They have added enormous amounts of sand and soil to the main track and turf course to compensate for the erosion. How this plays out early in the meet is obviously up to us to figure out.
Good luck to those playing this 150+ year old racetrack and it’s good to have her back!
