Why does the robot have polytrack surface but the export for TP does not. I have the upgrade from July. I thought this was added to nDS as (5=poly sprint and 6= poly route). When I query for nDS 5 or 6 I get nothing. I have run all of 06 through the new upgrade.

I re-imported Janurary through August 2006 recently. I also do not have any 5 or 6.
The quick count from my DB is below:
COUNT(*) NDS
--------- ----------
133816 1
60056 2
24234 4
9866 3

I got this all cleaned up. Want to wait a little and see how the data is presented when these horses return again and make sure the PP's reflect the switch from Turf to Poly. Fixed the nTD and nSURF to reflect the "A" correctly. I'll send out a beta-test for export users before the udpate is put up in early October.
When a track replaces its main dirt track with the Poly or Artificial surface, i'll have to write specific code that recognizes the date of the transition. I have KEE, WO, TP, HOL done for this year and dated the start of the new surface so "D" and "A" will be separated in all aspects of HTR output.

More complicated yet...workouts on poly or dirt? Where will that go?

The workout designations are a visual only for the surface designation "A", "T" or "D"
The "A" (Poly or Artificial) will be inserted in work listings for upcoming update at TP, WO, HOL, and KEE this year.
But the Wk rating is not dependent on the specific surface at all, it is concerned with the gap between the works and the distances drilled as well as well as the relative rank of the works for the day. The track/surface and time of the work has no bearing on the rating -- that's a visual aspect for the handicapper to deal with on his own.
