Well, might as well post one. Not too many tracks with full fields...so lets go back to Church. The game kinda changes now with two $50 winners on the board. Good luck.

Gonna try and inch my way back in this with a $20 winner.

#12 Red Ranger
#3 Ingenious (if #12 scratched)

Red Ranger is only horse in race with decent workout pattern. Probable fav #7 been off 414 days and has NO WORKOUTS showing. Red Ranger has been running in much tougher company than rest of this bunch. NW3's at FG & KEE while everybody else in NW2's at TP. Marlon St. Julien's win percent goes way up when he rides for this trainer.

If #12 does not run, #3 & #5 look good on most HTR factors.

Hey great idea. Was away for a while....nice shot Rhonda and Donnie...good thing this lasts for a month...have a chance to catch up and also have a chance to lose some weight so I can fit into an extra small!!!!!!

I was with you're thinking George but for the life of me I can't bet a horse that wins and then is set down for a time...here it is 53 days. I can only assume not having seen the race that the horse didn't come out of it well and had to take some time off.
If it weren't for that I would go with your pics ...as it is

#3 first choice
#7 if 3 is scratched (can't help but be afraid of this trainer and jockey..even after 414 days..wonder if anyone has stats for number of layoff horses without works showing that win for flint?)

Also, I agree with Mike...Rhonda is awlful chatty up here.

I'll take the 6---EV1 #1 PL 1 & 5, +5 impact....15/1 m/l....4yo about 5th out in Prat cycle so maybe he'll hang in there.

3 for backup---good Prats & top 3 HTR & EV1, an angle I've been checking.

Humm..... haven't hit the board yet, time for a new strategy.

1) Went to HTR "longshot alert" and got the #3, #5, #7.
2) Went to IMPACT, saw the #5 ranked 2nd.

So, my pick is #5, if out #7.

(Gee, this an easy game.)

Hmmm...#6 comes up as a double play and I will wager 2 units on it to win in real life. But I like the #3 better. So dunno where togo from here

Contest selection
#3
Alt #6

7,8,9 first time for a claim. 7's the layoff, 8 won most of his money at Hoosier Park, which leaves 9. See if it will change, and for a change I'll have some "Excellent Luck".

Way to go MtKen....6 wins 59.40.

Glen..I had him in a spot play to and begged off him. Nothing like getting in your own way.

Mt. Ken,

Good job with the $59.40 winner. Well didn't have it for the contest but did cash on it. Talk about zigging and zagging...This contest is turning into quite an interesting little event.

Hurrikane,

I know what you mean. Can't tell you how many times I have handicapped the spot plays and have my butt handed to me. I have just learned to go with them all and not try to cap them. If I did try to cap todays race, I woulda lost out big time...

Nice pick Mt. Ken. You pick the track for tomorrow I believe.

And Glen, if I had the choice of $$ for making a bet or glory, I'd go for the $$ every time. Can't take that glory stuff to the bank. Wish my stupid spot plays would have picked it up the #6 even once, I would have been there like Jack the Bear.

I don't even think of not playing my spot plays anymore. If/when they stop working, I just bench them. Until that time, I play them faithfully. Can't stand the agravation of the second guess if I don't. Got a few I should probably bench, but they have been good to me in the past. And until I do formally bench them, I am playing them.

Carl

Way to go. Nice call MtKen. Hope you bet some real $$ on him. Congrats to Glen on the real world bet.

Way to go Mt. Ken. What do the boxcar winners of yesterday and today have in common? (Hint: check the jockey. I must have studied this horse for 5 minutes before passing on it - Fires is Court's father-in-law... but it did nothing last year at CD)

missed again,
Neil

And even if I didn't know who was married to who, I could just look at my default sort on IMPACT and just play the top horse and have them both. Gee this is an easy game sometimes... (and no, I didn't bet either one, but I am wishing I had).

I almost mentioned Jon Court was up for Neil when I posted my pick; couldn't remember if he was a nemesis or yours' or not.

Didn't bet it, was @ work & I'm a sucker for real odds....oh well, like Carl says ,"They run around in circles again tomorrow." Yeah right $59!!!!!!!(^@#$%^&*....))*$#&)_^$#@@#

I was looking for a good 3K claimer @ our simulcast track (TUP) up here & they only have 1 race with 9 horses that I didn't like. I guess the next closest thing is race 9 @ CD...

I still haven't given up on those EV 1 #1 horses with a +2 to +8 ESD lead, that's where this one came from.

Ken

PS: Went back & saw Neil's post from yesterday---Court won on Donnie & Rhonda's pick too!
Who's he riding in the Oaks???!!!
