Hilton Pick the Ponies

TommyC called me from the Las Vegas Hilton after day-1 at the Pick-the-Ponies tourney.

He said the points are flyin and that Hinson clan is top-2 after the first round, but i have a feeling that contest will go nuts on Friday with all those great cards on Oaks Day.

The Hilton tourney has 200 entrants (full) and first prize around $38,000. No quallies.
A three day tournament ends Friday. $100 WPS format w/ $42 -22 - 12 cap.

There are other HTR players including Bernie S and Javier J participating that he was aware of -- thanks TC for the updates

Tommy reports he and Bernie have seconditus, but Javier has moved up to 12th place after a big day, and he collected some day money.

Tommy said he finished about 45th (no cash) and Javier finished about 15th, so he took home some dough on top of the day money he won on day-2.

There were 200 players involved, first prize under $40,000 won by Damian R.

I could find no link to the results of this contest from any source. So thanks to Tommy, we got at least some news on it. Next stop in Vegas is the SouthCoast tourney a week from Thursday.
