Rick will be posting a FEB 6 version of HTR2.exe sometime on Monday (Feb 6).
It has the following changes and additions and bug fixes. Thanks to "buckfan" for his suggestions.
= Track buttons (quick-click selection buttons, top left of the main screen) have been updated and reorganized. I added two more buttons and this causes a slight crowding of the +/- toggles, but the overall effect is more options.
= Added a +/- toggle to the Chart screen. Click these to quickly toggle the Charts for all the races on the card you are viewing. Elminates the need to exit and change races to view the next chart.
= Fixed a minor bug that was crashing HX7. Will work as before now.
This FEB 6 version of HTR2.exe replaces all other versions. Most screens and all the exports remain unchanged. The 'robot' has changes described in the newsletter.
Notes on the track select buttons.
These are very complex to synchronize. It would be impossible to customize them. They require doing three things simultaneously: 1) accessing a working file; 2) avoiding overlap and redundancy; 3) grouping by logical circuit and location.
I won't go into the details, but each track must be assigned one particular button and I have to subjectively organize them so they won't overlap and crash the program.
From Left to Right, circuit and alternates in ( ) used on days when the main circuit is not running or if the user doesn't download the primary tracks.
Buttons - L to R
1) NoCal BM, GG + (Cal Fairs)
2) SoCal circuit, (alternate TUP)
3) Major Louisiana tracks, FG and LAD, (MNR)
4) Kentucky circuit
5) Florida GP and CRC, (TAM)
6) NYRA circuit, (SUF)
7) Chicago AP and HAW, (IND, HOO, PRM)
8) Texas circuit LS, HOU, RET, (OK and NM tracks)
9) Maryland LRL and PIM, (WO)
10) OP, MTH, MED
I added buttons 9 and 10. Previously OP was grouped with Maryland causing a conflict.
OP and the New Jersey tracks do not overlap all year, so that worked out good.
Notice to those of you with custom apps. I'm taking time out during our on-line contest and to enjoy the Olympics. Please hit me up with your upgrades after that - thanks!
