Daven "buckfan" read the newsletter page-2 where it is mentioned that there were "amazing" number of $100+ winners tagged by the Wk rating in 2005 and he asked to see the list. In the interest of 'honest and verifiable documentation', the list appears below.

The number of races in North America that even pay $100 or more is obviously very small ( < 1%) and my database is in chronological order and there were often stretches of 10 days or more where not a single winner on the continent paid that high. So the fact that the Wk rating (80+) could spot so many of them is striking.

Typos, omissions or mistakes were possible with such a long list typed in haste. My tally found about 40 of these of horses that paid $100 or more with a Wk rating of 80 or higher. Some of these were @@ horses and downright impossible stabs without the Wk rating, but hey, this is the record.

Ken, looks like at least one per month. Here's to finding one each month this year.

What is the "@@" designation? I am sure it has been discussed or written about, but somehow i missed it.

Also, just a question in general...............what is the highest $2 payoff ever on a winning ticket. I seem to have recalled seeing a couple over $200 the pst year.

This was covered in the Oct 2005 Newsletter and mentioned in the Nov 2005 Newsletter.

Basically the @@ indcator is a "double bogey" throwout.

They win so few times that you can pretty much just disregard them.
