View Full Version : YouBet Now has TVG tracks

Youbet is now open for business with the TVG tracks. They are converting the tracks over to their new Oregon Hub. Right now they have SAR DMR CRC AP ELP LAD EVD MNR RKM. They should have all of the others very soon. I understand the tracks have to sign a new contract.
I was one of the beta testers for them. The system is working fine. The good news is they have eliminated the monthly fee, the bad news is that they they now charge just like TVG which is $0.25 per wager up to a max of 19.95 so a frequent user will pay 20 bucks a month for the service.
You wager on line and if you have a DSL or cable modem I understand that the video is good on the dsl or cable modem. (I'll find that out in a couple of weeks) So those of you that lost TRN may find this a alternative. There is no min no of wagers you need to make so it might be a alternative for wagers you can't make any where else. Especially TVG tracks that are not available except at TVG or Youbet or Offshore
I have not had any problems with my account deposits, withdrawals or wagering. If any one wants to sign up you can use one of us (I think Carl and Glen are Youbet members, there may be others) for a referral and we would get a$25 bonus in our account. Not as good as ESB, but something.

Mike,
Thanks for the update. Is it true that current Youbet members have to open up a new account with the Oregon organization instead of using our current Youbet account?

I think so
you have to send a signature card to the Ore hub. (Ore law) and a deposit. There are forms at the web you can download. Once your account is open youbet comes up the the tracks that are "total access" and shows you your total access account info. Which at the moment are different then the call-bet-tracks. This is what I had to do as a beta tester
You still have a call-abet account, but I believe the only way to wager with it is to call it in to call-a-bet. I am pretty sure that if you call a cashier you pay the same $0.25 for your wager just like youbet and tvg, but if you go through the voice response system there is no wager charge at call-a-bet.
This could be wrong so you may want to contact call-a-bet and/or youbet to verify

MikeD:
Did you mention earlier that that 0.25/bet was waived if you bet 2k/month?

I just logged on and my old account balance is still there and none of the tracks from TVG are premier tracks. I have not gotten any notice of anything changing at YouBet and when I called them, no one there seemed to be able to tell me of anything changing. So what's the deal here?
Is there a different website for the new YouBet? The one I have been using is still running and nothing's changed.
Thanks,
Carl

Yeah,
I can see this one working out just great for me.
1) Oregon won't take an account from me because I do not reside in the U.S. Ladbroke don't care.
2) I need an account with TVG to get "total access".
(I plan to just lay low for a while.)
later,

Speaking of TVG, just signed up for The Dish Netowrk (no it is not a dish/plate club where you get a free flatware of the month) and must report that I am really pleased with the coverage. Some of the host are horrible but thats ok. As long as I get a clear reception and they post odds and payouts.

Right!
And even though I live in a "free Country: the U.S.A," the State of New Jersey allows for Zero Access to the Oregon Hub, even though we have Atlantic City Casinos, Monmouth Park, State Lotteries, etc. It's a total joke.

Well I must be living in the 3rd deminsion. I all I can tell is I have a total access account I can wager on line at DMR SAR AP ELP CRC RKM and DEL and my account shows only total access dollars, not my call-a-bet dollars. My version does not show any tracks but total access tracks.

Mike,
Are you using the CD v3.0 or the website?
They told me I didn't need to use the CD if the website worked, but now I wonder if that is
where the total access version is?

Tom, I can use either version. Both of them work with "total access"
What I was instructed to do was to go to the express (or web) version and go throuh the sign up procedure for a total access account. At some point it should ask you if you have a current account and to provide your user id. When you sign up there are forms that have to be filled out and sent to ore. with your deposit. Once this is done they convert your account to total access.
I think what is happening is if you do nothing you stay as you are with a call-a-bet account and you have no access to tvg tracks. I believe they are going to start charging both account types with the new charges. Once you convert you will have only have on line access to tracks in the "total access plan" and your account balances will be money in ORE.
Don't know why someone a Ybet can't give you a clear answer. Maybe if you call on Monday someone who knows something will answer the phone. Try sending a e-mail to:
Julio Quezada <JQuezada@youbet.com>.
He is incharge of the beta test and should be able to explain it.
I sent him a email yesterday telling him that everyone is very confused on what to do and that they should send instructions out to everyone, perhaps they will.

Thanks-that seems to be what is going on.
I will calll them Tuesday to get a list of what racks they offer on each.
I think I am inclined to stay a CAB - I live Penn and Evd too much to give them up.

I thought it would be pretty automatic one day you go on line and everything is there... but wishful thinking. It will be interesting to see how fast they get the tracks to become available on Total Access. In particular I wonder if Magna owned tracks will sign on, since they own CAB and this could mean a handle reduction for them.
