September is around the corner-and the time is ripe for a fun little contest.
Several years ago on paceadvantage.com I hosted the Beer and Bacon contest.
The premise was-pick the most winners in a month and you were rewarded with a case of fine Canadian ale and a big hunk of premium Cdn back bacon.
Around a dozen or so cappers got interested -I recall the winner picked 9 out of 30.
This time around it will be different-instead of wins we will be concentrating on $ earned
Here is the format-
Starting tomorrow each contestant will be given a fictional $2.00 WPS (win place show) on any horse in the race designated by the previous winner-I will get the ball rolling by selecting the 1st race--after that the winner(s) can select a race at any track in North America. In case of multiple winners-the first to post a race (he or she does not have to make the selection at that time) will determine which race we play.
Because of time zones this will only work if we play tracks with a post time no later than 2pm EST
My suggestion to anyone playing this is to avoid chalk like the plague.
Will post the first race after I advertize on the two other boards I haunt.
