Today at TUP there are some strange Cramer #s and prat #s. For example, race 7,Mystical Ridge. The Cramer # gives it an 83 in its last start when its previous best was a 53.It gets a Prat of 17 when it's previous best was 29.In the same race Jessica Miss has the same kind of strange #s for her last dirt race.In the 8th race same thing for J J's Son.His Cramer # for his last start is a 100.That seems a little high for a 3k claimer. In the 4th race , Space Pants went from a Prat # of 46 to a Prat # of 15 and a Cramer # of 10 to a Cramer # of 87. I don't usually bet TUP but I was just glancing over it and noticed the odd #s

We had a problem with some of the TUP speed numbers on tuesday. Jim has found the problem and I reran and reposted the TUP racefile for tuesday, with correct numbers. This obviously does not help after the fact for those betting that racecard but for those keeping a database, you can download the corrected racefile and not contaminate your results.

We apologize for this snafu. It was a very unusual occurance but we're looking at ways to identify a problem like this before we post the racefile.

I just have this warm, fuzzy feeling when guys like Ron Tiller are out there taking care of us - talk about Quality Control. Thanks Ron, for the high standard you set for our data. It's refreshing to see that someone really cares about the customer - it is really getting to be unusual theses days. :)

This is an update to a previous posting concerning some bad speed ratings at TUP on March 8.

We isolated the offending race to be a 5.5 furlong race on Feb 12, misidentified as a 6 furlong race. The first racecard affected by the offending race was Feb 21. The racefile for March 8 had already been fixed and reprocessed a few days ago. We discovered a few bad speed ratings scattered amongst each card from Feb 21 - Mar 7. While the number was not large, there were enough that we felt it important to reprocess all the TUP racefiles between Feb 21 and Mar 7, a total of 12 racecards. Those who either archive data for research or who import data into Access may want to redownload these TUP files.

As of 8:30am EST, all the files have been reprocessed and reposted on the web sites. Jim has re-engineered a few things to prevent this specific problem from reoccuring (of course there's always a hundred other things can can go wrong).

Ron, I know you and Jim go over these files very carefully everyday. Does Bris, Equibase or DRF do this or do they just send the files out without checking them.
I don't seem to hear about them correcting files.
I remember you caught mistakes at GP a few years back when they didn't seem to know anything them.

Ditto what TBrown said.
