What book would you recommend a Access beginner to read.
Thanks

Sorry Gambler...didn't see the post 'till now...been a little stiff from a minor operation and not paying too much attention to anything but my nads (got the big "V" this past week!).

If you're a true beginner, I would recommend you start with the Access for Dummies book...they usually do a good job with explaining simple concepts. Also if you can find a book called Visual Jumpstart for Access, I have found these books the best for getting up to speed QUICKLY!! They cut thru the bull and SHOW you how to do it. Once you get a hang of things and start to really crank, any of the Sybase books go into extreme tech jargon.

For those of you who wanted the CD's, I FINALLY HAVE THEM!! I will send out a confirmation email before shipping them to anyone. They only thing you pay is shipping and handling. We have over $30,000 worth of cd's in our office from the Office 97 series. These are the same I handed out at the seminar in June! Sorry about the delay, but I had to wait until they delivered them to us from the storage warehouse.

If anyone who has not contacted me yet and would like an Access Tutorial CD for the cost of shipping, email me at mrdonn@hotmail.com, I would be glad to send one out to you!

Good luck! I'm going to pump some more Advil!

Ouch!!!! Makes me hurt just thinking about it Donnie...I would suggest a special massage but that may make matters worse. :D

In reality, wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, but then I didn't get the bruising or the massive swelling I have heard from others. On the downside, I had to reschedule it twice and when I finally got it done I had to teach a 3 hour class one hour after the operation...I WOULD NOT SUGGEST THAT TO ANYONE!! Friggin' OUCH!!!

Will definitely be worth all the pain here starting on Friday...Friday night in fact!! LOL

Donnie:

Hope you're sitting comfortably tomorrow night...just don't let the 'boys' jump up and down when that PRM longshot gets into a big stretch duel
