When I try to go into a day's race files in HTR, I get this message: Out of memory in line 0 of module RACEFILE at address OF66:0851. This does not happen with Impact or TLC.
What do I do?
Thanks.

Think you have too many days of racefiles in the
HTR folder. Under DOS there is a definate limit.
Try "move" or "cut" (not copy) of a bunch of the older ones to a new folder.

all of your racefiles in there zipped form are put in the htrdata directory when htr unzips them so you have all of your files there.
If you want you can jsut use the delete button in the htr program to remove old race files. If you ever want them in the future you can move them from the htrdata directory into the htr directory

Yes, jackad,
It's probably just a matter of too many files in the HTR folder. Seems like I get that error at around 3000 files. Simply delete some of the files by highlighting them when you are in the main HTR menu. That will get rid of the racefiles (and results files if you downloaded them). You'll have to do a little extra work to get rid of the trainer files and charts (assuming you downloaded them).

There are 2-3 ways to get old files out of your "main"HTR dir .......the slow way,but safest to keep from making mistakes........from the main htr screen hit the "end" key that will show you your oldest files.....then its just hit "DEL key....ENTER key" and that file is removed from your "working-main" htr directory............if you chose this method you need to go to the "help"file to remove chart and trainer files...........from the first menu hit the " help and infromation button" then hit the "space bar to view text files" button there you find all the unzipped chart, profile and trainer files......delete them by hitting the delete key...........one thing to watch for here is that this is where you keep your important text files....impact.txt,htr4msa.txt,others that I can't think of now........but if it dosen't start with a track name don't delete it without reading it first...........
Second method is to get to "DOS" at at your dos prompt ..... (c:\windows) type cd\htr,enter
this will get you c:\htr>......type dir..enter to look around........try to see what your oldest files are .......then say june are the oldest ......."type DEL (SPACE) O6*.* ENTER tHIS WILL DELETE ALL FILES STARTING WITH 06.........repeat this with july ( 07 ) ......
getting the chart and trainer files removed is a bit tricker you could delete by track( "del (space) hol06*.* deletes all hol files from june or get daring and for chart files type del (space) *c.txt...........and all chart files are gone........trainer files del( space) *s.txt .....
After all these file are removed it may be wise to run your defrag program.....it will help your pc run faster.............hope this helps........if you stll have problems contact me here or at the e-mail address below ......Ernie
