ISSUE: delete HTRDATA and EXPORT

I am trying to track down WHY or HOW my JULY 2004 data got messed up.

well, IF the data in the HTRDATA folder is connected to the EXPORT function,
yup, THEN, this would be the source of my problem.

IF the answer is: does NOT affect the EXPORT,

THEN, is there ANY requirement to keep data in the HTRDATA folder.

The \htrdata folder does not have any bearing on the export.

The folder is not required, but HTR2 will create a new one every time you delete it and copy/move any new *.htr files there.

It is a backup.

Personally, I think you are better off backing up files in their extracted form.

Of course it doesn't hurt to use both methods.

this confirmed my hunch and have added this to my list for 'custom' features.

ie, turn off the FEATURE that helps HTR users maintain a backup of the data.
