I was on the BB [ Selections Using HTR]. They were selecting winners etc. The problem I had was I had to get out of that screen and then go back into it to get the next post. Is there sometings Im doing wrong or do I need to change some settings on my computer so i can see these post as there posted without getting out of the BB and going back into it?
Thanks

Ed,
when you want to see if there are any new postings to a thread like that one while you are in it is to just hit the refresh button on your browser

F5 for REFRESH in IE6.
There is also a toolbar you can turn on that has (or can have) the REFRESH icon. Click on View, Toolbars, Standard buttons.
I am presently trying out Fast Browser that lets you set the auto refresh. I think Opera also has that option buried in there somewhere.
Trouble with the auto-refresh, if you are writing out a message and it augo-refreshes you loose what you have typed. That really gets annoying.

Gambler,
There is also the possibility that it would be better NOT to see these picks :) considering the low prices we were picking . . .
Seriously, like Rick said, hit the refresh button.

I think what is happening to Ed is one of the problems with "masking" a website. If you access the website using www.htr2.com , every page you go to will have that up in the address bar as you access the page....hence, the bowser will only ever see www.htr2.com . Under this situation, if you hit refresh you are actually refreshing the entire website, taking you out to the main page everytime. I think the others who responded above are using their bookmarked links to access the site (www.homebased2.com/km )
A quick fix for this little problem Ed is to right click on a link to a page you want to continuously refresh and then choose Open In a New Window. The browser will then pick up on that page's original address and not the mask and you can from that point hit the refresh button or hit the F5 key at the top of your keyboard.

Awww, now Victor, I was gonna say that till I went back and added up the prices and I think I did a little better than breaking even. Not much mind you!! (you do need to take out my turf races! I forwarned you that they are the bain of handicapping for me! So I never play them, and never count them in my results, whether for fun or not). Had this been tournament play, I believe a couple I missed at least came in 2nd, so I would have gotten some points! It was fun though...hope others jump in next time! Good practice for the online tourney here!

Turf is just GRASS growing in dirt. Think about it.

So you play them just like dirt? Why the disparaging numbers on the FPS screen when a horse runs on dirt versus when he runs on grass? (the big difference is on FR3)

I let PL-5 take care of that. It knows the difference and so do I.

Thanks for all the help. I will try those suggestions tonight or whenever I see someone on there.
Thanks again
