Orleans Tournament dates

I went out to their website, but could find nothing about the dates for the World Series Qualifier at the Orleans in Oct. Could someone post the dates here?

Orleans October 14-17 (Thurs - Sat)

Call Debbie at 1-888-566-7223 to get the brochure. Rooms are $60-$75/night for players and the Orleans is gives you a quality hotel room with a desk and sofa at that price.

Prize money of $500,000 ($144,000 to the winner) based on 900 entries which should be likely considering the overflow at the Gold Coast and the fact that the Orleans is the last major opportunity to qualify for the "World Series" (50+ spots available depending on turnout). Betcha they get more than a 1000 and it's the biggest ever.

$20,000 early bird contest to be held on Sunday (basically a lottery - forget it) if you enter by Sept 15. But one HTR player, George Smith, did win it a few years ago and took home $10,000 after going 0 fer the main tourney.

Those "World Series" qualifiers may be more valuable than the NTRA spots - they are worth $2000/entry and the prize money is $1 million. But NTRA qualifiers get a free trip to Vegas while the Orleans is not offering a good package deal at all to its qualifiers.

First prize in our summer contest starting late August thru Labor Day is a freebie $500 entry at the Orleans October. Gotta shoot for that.

Sue's 20 yr reunion is in Oct on the other side of the country, but it is a different weekend! Looks like we'll be there then! (I don't know, tho. Vegas 4 times in one year is a little overkill)
