Anyone going to be at CNL tomorrow for contest? I've just finished going through the card and would love to compare notes in the morning at the track or tonight if someone is going to be there.

Colonial contest sucked (scuse the french) - they took the races off the turf and for any of you who play CNL know, that is the deathknell of any possibility for value. Of 8 races we could bet on, 7 went off with the odds on or near odds on horse winning. Heck, I had three winners in a row and ended up with $15 or so to show for the effort. One decent price horse paid off and those who had him were in the contest, everyone else was not. George and I played as we usually do and had three horses in that race, unfortunately, the winner was the third horse we left out in our plays. So, the longshot track ended up terrible. They gave the Colonial team our coats in the winners circle for winning the national thing last January - unfortunately my coat was too large so I sent it back to NTRA, probably never to be heard from again. The crystal bowl is cute, but the track gets to keep that. And after all that bad stuff, I called to report in to my wife and found out she ran over the cat today and the poor thing is spending a few days at the emergency vet center. Sheesh, what a day.

Thanks for the tourney report Henry - definitely a bad omen when they take all the races off the turf at CNL w/ scratches galore. Typical short contest result - get lucky, hit the bomb and its over.
LOL - good story about about the NTRA oversized coat!
hope your cat will be ok
