I am trying to filter out all races at Aqu, Bel, or Sar in an Access query, but not matter how I put in that criteria, I keep getting all those records.
Help says to use Not "Aqu" or Not "bel" or Not "sar", but that dosn't work.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

I think you need to use the "and" connector rather then the "or"
try
<>aqu and <> bel and <> sar

My book says the solution is
Not ("aqu" or "bel" or "sar")

Not "aqu" or "bel" or "sar"
Maybe it's late, but I read the above as :
Give me everything except Aqueduct.
Does the NOT carry forward to Belmont and Saratoga?

Yes. But the book says to use the brackets.
A quick test shows it works just like you have it.
