You tend to forget that there is more to this game than K's, amd Cramers, and contests, and exports, and good times-every day, these brave guys put life and limb on the line and climb up on sometimes sore, unsound, huge animals and brave all kinds of weather to put on a show for us.
I know I would never do what they do for 10 times the money they make.
Next time I am tempted to boo a "bad ride" I hope I remeber to keep my mouth shut.

Terrible tragedy.

Good post, Bulldog.
The motive, as always, is money. If the race doesn't run, nobody gets paid.
The winter racing at TP is for those horses, trainers, and jockeys that didn't go south for the winter....same with AQU.
No wonder the results are sometimes strange.

Sometimes the most surprised people at the outcome of a race are the traner and the owner.

Ever see a victory picture without the owner or the trainere in the picture, just the jockey and the stallboy? It happens.
