ALL HX4.mdb 5Oct03 problem

This may be "much to do about nothing" but the Oct. 5 update of ALL HX4.mdb has the import macro point to another file name instead of C:\HTR\All_H4.txt. Thanks to the help of Donnie, Mike Dee, and Ricks in fixing my ACCESS problems over the past year I was able to trouble shoot and fix my copy on my own but it might cause problems with new ACCESS users.

There is nothing except Ken that says that you have to have your race files in C:\htr.

I can change the macro to point to the file in that directory but it is up to the user to make sure that the macro points to his export file.

Of course there may be a better reason to update the database; I just don't remember what it is right now. I just remember I had a problem with it during importing new races. Ain't that a bitch. Just old age catching up with me. :)

I'll try to get a new database up there. It will have a later date to it.

I updated the ALL_HX4.mdb file with the path of C:\htr\ for the ALL_HX4.txt file. Any one that has there race files in a different directory will need to modify the macro and save it.

I also added a macro for importing ALL_HX5.txt.

I also included the mystery fix that I still can't remember, but it you ran into the problem you will probably know what it was. If you didn't it doesn't matter.

But that is the way it is suppose to work; you fix the problems as they come up or as you find them.

Now I remember.

There was a problem where I had not checked off the block stating that the first row was the titles. When I was importing the races I would get an error message and Access would create an error table that had the field names in it.

That should be fixed in this version.
