Ken's latest beta version of HTR2001.exe can be downloaded at

http://209.164.117.38/km/dnl/HTR2001.exe

You must have the previously installed Ken's Full Install of HTR2001 Windows version that was distributed at the LV Seminar in June.

I will be posting the old version of Full Install later today. After downloading the Full Install and installing it you will be able to relace the HTR2001.exe file with the one in the link above.

Ken says there will be new upgrades posted as he makes progress (every few days or so), and he'll have a new SETUPEX out in a day or two.

Ken says:
There are going to be lots of questions about the pp output, I am adding a help file that will explain the details of each screen <?> button
For now, here is some stuff from the HELP screen I am writing for the pp's you can post this if you want.

date section - "033 Fr 07Jul01" = 33 days ago, the horse ran (or worked out) on a Friday on July 7, 2001
"!" - horse broke fast from gate, next to post position (ie: 03! = broke fast from post 3 that day)
"Cramer top spd" - figures listed in 3 categories followed by ranked for this field in ( )
d/s: at today's distance and surface (fast)
trk: at today's track and surface (fast)
90d: last 90 days (all races) (you'll be amazed how many winners you get from the top3 in this factor)
Avg Figure: average lifetime speed figure and ranked for this field.
Race Figure: listed next to the final time, this is the final speed figure for the race (the winner) - the horse's individual figure is listed after the finish position.

The old full install of HTR2001 Windows is now on line for those that haven't had a chance to check out Ken's progress.

Just remember that after installing the above you need to download the latest version of HTR2001.exe to replace the one in the full install.

I will always post to the discussion group when Ken sends a new version of the HTR2001.exe.

Ken also promises that he will do a help file to explain all the info, especially in his Advanced PP's.

Reddy,

Did you close the HTR Windows program? Sounds like it was still open. If so, close it and download new one...

OK-I downloaded the set-up & installed it & everything went fine.

Next downloaded HTR2001.exe to HTR & when I open it there is no difference between it & the original that I can notice......There really are PP's somewhere?

Help,

Ken

MtKen,
When you open with the latest HTR2001 it will have the 16 Jul 01 date on the first screen.

Check your \HTR directory for the file name HTR2001.exe - the size should be 303k and dated today.

Check if there is also a file named HTR2001-1.exe or something like that. Sometimes files get renamed when there is already a file by the same name in the directory. If this is the case delete the first HTR2001.exe and rename the second file to HTR2001.exe

Rick,
Tried to install on WIN 95 at work and "no joy".

Looking for MSVBVM50.DLL when executes and not found.

Pretty sure did setup correct and do have the
303 k version of the exec.

Any ideas??
No hurry for it but would like to run it at work.

George,

Ken had asked me to see if I had that file when he sent the beta out. I think that he was leaving it out of the install because of its size. It is a common dll for VB (Visual Basic) and most machines have it already installed. Pretty sure it is included with 98 not 95. You can get it though - just do a search on google or dogpile and put it in your windows system directory.
