After 38years I finally threw the towel in and threw the alarm clock out. Now I have time to dedicate to my favorite sport.

And welcome Don H. Should be a fun ride, lots of programs to play with and unlimited data to fill it with.
Any questions we can answer about what does what we will, when you post and we don't respond it usually means we don't have a clue (but only about that area of course).
What tracks do you normally play and what brought you to HTR?

Welcome go HTR. Good to see someone coming in that is immune to that w**k thing. There was an epidemic around here for a while.
As everyone else said..any questions fire away. You can also check the old posts. That will get you going real fast.

Thanks to all for the welcome..
Carl I was working in Pa. and went to the simulcast in Erie, Pa and ran into a guy that I worked with. Small world because I worked with him and didn't know he played the horses. They have a maze of tracks running and if your not careful you can go tap city in a hurry. Well anyhow we got talking and I said if I had a computer, it probably would help to pick the horses and he told me to try this site.
hurricane I see your from Va. I just ended up my career in Richmond. I ended up going down there through the railroad merger. Never did get to Colonial Downs. In the mid 60s I was in Ft Belvoir and used to go all the time to the tracks. Shenandoah, then acroos the road to Charlestown, boy what scenic country that was. Also went to Laurel and Bowie. Got to the DC Int'l the year Kelso won it. Also went to Pimlico for the Preakness when Damascus won. Didn't care too much for Pimlico as it was hard finding a place to park.
Well you all have a good night

Wecome Don H.
This old coach spent a great part of his life before horses in Minerva (not far from you) and we tangled with Boardman many times.
Attended Mountaineer (old Waterford Park) many times, long ago.
If you need any help, we are all family, just ask.

Hi Don...Congrats on your retirement and welcome to HTR. I noticed you worked for the railroad and that caught my attention as I still work for a railroad here in VA. (my guess is the competition <g>) I also used to attend the horses at CT with my family in the late 60's early 70's.
I have used HTR and if I can help let me know and drop a line either here or at my e-mail which is goffja@home.com
