OK, before that tricky pollster Glen gets to this one, I thought I would post a poll! Was just wondering about the "experience" on this board! How long have YOU been playing the ponies?

Wondering minds want to know!

Donnie,

In reality it has been since my parents snuck me in to Oaklawn at age 15 (almost 30 years ago) off and on. Went through the early computer phase of Mattel's Horse Race Analyzer, etc, etc. Unfortunately, based on recent success, it seems more like 11:00 this morning. Thusly, I cannot accurately fill out the poll!

Thanks Donnie - just thinking about HOW long it's been (20+) brought back some humerous memories although NOT at the time. Having just bought a Radio Shack Model I PC, written a fail-safe program (must have taken all of a couple of hours), plugged in the data from our Form, my wife and I noted the results from OUR program and headed off to Garden State to make a killing. Needless to say, there MUST have been a bug or two in the program since things didn't work out as expected. It was also the same day we were surprised to learn that the runners were weighed before each each and had obviously eaten too many oats - why else would they be announcing such and such a horse was overweight? Those were the days of thick brown hair - now. it's thin and all white! :-)

Thanks again for triggering the memories.

;) Since 1945.....peaks and valley's. After looking back and now forward I have decided that I will concentrate on the better races (graded 1, 2 and 3). This is where the public misbets and large prices are available on horses in good health and high figs......No need to worry about trainer or jockey......horses prevail....Regards...LLFred
