Guys,
I was on it quite a bit this afternoon. Very slow. But has been slow since the changeover. I'm using cable and know that's not the problem. Would be interested to know why it's considerably slower since the change. Didn't think that was supposed to happen.

Carl M server error was that he didn't change to the new IP address ---->
http://216.49.140.232/
The new HDW server and phone system was just installed and the lines are "noisy"; preventing best quality high-speed downloads. Dialup customers are experiencing somewhat faster response and download. The phone company has been asked to 'quiet' and increase line transmission speed, but anyone who has called the phone company for service knows how long that might take.
The old HTR IP address at http://12.27.193.72/ is now defunct. Delete it from your "Favorites" folder and add the new IP address listed above to access the files.

I am on dial up and the new site is faster for me.
I used to have about a 25 second delay to read the "hold your horses...." message, that is down to under 10. And I think the downloads themselves are slightly faster also, although it is so time of day/mood of my computer dependent it is hard to tell for sure.
Can't say ESB is chugging along that much better Hurrikane. They took three bets for CNL two days back, then didn't count them, as they decided that they didn't take that track, and refunded my money, all without telling me! When I told them the girl got them into the computer and gave me a confirmation time of bet, how could she do that if they didn't take that track, he told me the tellers can put any abbreviation into the system, there is no lockout.
Ah Jamaica, where the sun always shines........(and which fair land I would be out of already if one of my three bets would have won and they didn't give me credit for it.)
later,
Carl
