Since I'm not a HTR member, I thought it might just be me when it seemed these topics have been a little boring lately (mostly HTR stuff). But even Tommy thinks so. It must be the dog days of summer getting here early!
Hey Donnie, I will be headed to Des Moines this week to visit Mom and play the PRM contest Saturday. I see where Lone Star has their contest the same weekend, so Tommy's probably won't make it, huh?

Yeah Al...Both Tommy and Gabby were originally talking about coming up, with the only thing to stop them being the possibility of Lone Star running there's the same day. Well Lone Star went with the 14th as well so it looks like some of the real competition will be staying South! I talked with the folks at PRM last week and they told me they have 30 people signed up so far...about 20 more than this time last year! Last year we had 70 entrantants at the start, so they are projecting close to 100....I think they would be VERY lucky to get 100. They said that they had quite a few folks from Vegas they had signed up....I wonder now if maybe those people will opt for LS instead since it is closer and LS is giving 4 spots where PRM is giving only 2.
Be sure to stop by and say Hi! The wife and I are both entered...one of us is taking one of those spots!
Ohhhh Tomcat and Linda are a possibility at PRM as well.....would be good to see them as well!

Alan..sorry to say we will stay home at Lone Star because of the 4 spots. Be sure you tell Carrie LaRue (Tournament Administrator) that that is the case and that we'd all be up there if PRM gave away 4 instead of 2....no way would we pass up the steaks at Donnie's house.
Good luck to you up there and don't worry too much about Donnie....but LOOK OUT for Sue, she's pretty but she has that "killer" gleam in her eye. :-)
Good luck to all of you, go get 'em !!

Glen...as usual, there are a number of "loose ends" going on at Lone Star. I will be out there today and try to get an answer for you...will use email when I find out.

Tommy and Glen,
I've been emailing Keith with the same question for several days. He keeps responding that no decision has been made yet. Finally noticed on the web site that the tracks will be posted there by 6/11 with the mandatories posted by 6/12.
Not a whole lot of time for preparation, huh?
I'd guess that they'd use different tracks than last year because of the Magna take over.

You guys tell Keith we need low VI races, no 6 horse stakes races....And also have some good looking waitresses working our area, no tore up old hags...

Glen,
Good one....the first request might be easier to fulfill than the second!
But there will always be some scenery up in the Silks. FWIW, I'm bringing my own scenery.
