The July Newsletter is ready. But HDW might not be ready to post it to the new site. I have asked to Rick to place it on here if HDW can't get it added on the subscriber site by 5pm ET, Thursday. Rick will leave a message about it on here in either case. Very interesting reading: the entire issue is devoted to the seminar and elaborates as much as possible on the issues discussed, including Fr1 and longshots, TomCat- TLC, trifecta strategy, Donnie and MikeD Access workshop, etc. Those that didn't attend the Stardust event this year, this is the 2001 seminar highlights and summary you have asked for.
Windows version - HTR2001 - will be posted here for installation download or upgrade on Monday July 9. Rick and I will leave details here as necessary.

For those of you who were unable to the seminar, I gave (yes for free!) everyone a CD rom that is a tutorial in Access. The gentleman who gave me a great deal on these has decided to make them available to anyone who wants one, this exact same CD (also, if you have an interest, I can get you Excel or Word in the same format. He has over 30,000 in his inventory!). If you are interested in receiving one by mail, I would be more than happy to send you one for the cost of postage. If anyone who received one would like another, just let me know and I will get one sent out to you! Sorry, but you will have to pay for shipping!
You may contact me at mrdonn@hotmail.com
Let me know how many you need, within reason, and I will let you know the cost for shipping. Be sure to include your shipping address!
BOL everyone!

yea Glen you know you are right.
Lets see there are 8 tracks running today with 81 races. Using the form, probaly need to buy 3 forms to get them all, that's about $15 bucks give me a couple of days and I should have all of the races done by hand.
Instead it took me about 30 min to ID about 15 races I want to look at in a little more detail after the scratches are posted and the they come up on the odds board.
Guess I'll just have to go and play a round of golf before the first race comes up that I want to look at:(

you know, I wouldn't get so down on the DRF. Suppose you were stuck at the track in the john with no toilet paper, just what are you gonna do with a computer. Eh??????

Ken, do you suppose with the new change for HDW they might be able to let you have the available wagers on each race? They were going to do that some time ago, but the only place we can get it is in the trainer stats.

This is in response to Tomcat's question about Wager Types.
You may have left the inaccurate impression that HDW is not letting Ken have this information and that HDW is dragging its feet on something we promised Ken a long time ago. While I cannot display a skid-mark free pair of shoes to the world, the truth is that the file version that HTR uses is full and has been for some time. I mean literally that there is no space for any more information, not even 1 byte. Otherwise, you would have had Wager Types in the HTR racefiles years ago. Sorry Tomcat.

I just tried a download. A new password window popped up. I guess that is just a small bug on the new server.
I had trouble downloading but it was mainly due go having Godzilla installed. When I turned Godzilla off I had no trouble downloading.
Will try to email it to you.

Sorry Ron, I was implying your ability in doing the impossible. I just wanted to make sure no one forgot...whoever doesn't have room.
By the way if you need to expand that file, howabout some of the LV buffets. They expand me rather easily.
I hope the move was painless.
