Hello Boys,

Happy Independence Day to all my fellow Americans.

I, no doubt, missed the explanation for something I observed this morning. Can someone help me out?

The problem...downloaded racefiles last night for 7/4 AP. I printed IMPACT screens. This morning I went back into IMPACT and found the numbers were different for some, not all races. All horses are present, no scratches. What happened?

Many Thanks

'Aces, IMpact has only one output per race and we all get the same thing. Maybe you changed the sort option and saw the screen differently the second time. The calculations are "static" in Impact, meaning they cannot be changed by user interaction. But little computer gremlins can do funny things to our minds - so who knows what bugs are lurking in your Impact, computer or printer. If you figure this one out, let me know please !

Ken,

Thanks for the reply. Well, my mind does operate much like a computer at times in that every now and then I have to be rebooted.

I understood the IMPACT numbers are supposed to be static. And I know the sort function changes the order in which the horses are listed but not the numbers. No one else has replied on this but, it seems odd that the problem would be exclusive to my computer. Gremlins, you say? I'll fax my printouts tomorrow. See what you can make of them.

By the way, thanks for spreading the word on the HOL Pick 6 pool yesterday. No, I was not one of the $57K winners. But, I did catch the consolation 5 of 6 for $300.60.
