Hey Guys,

had a chance to check out the new tlc program last night, and i had a few questions

1. on the bottom where the horse and jockey are listed under the ctr 1 it might have W before the number i'm assuming thats stands for winner last out..............if i'm wrong please let me know

2. why are the esp-att-res numbers in the TLC program different from the impact screen on the impact program ?...........................are these numbers a little better than the ones in the impact program ?

thanks:cool: :D

Wiz,

you are correct about the w in the cr1. Won last out.

the impact numbers are from the old impact program. Tomcat says he has no problem with these numbers. I prefer the newer impact numbers. Just my opinion though.

Wizard......interesting to me that Tomcat considers a w on last race to be a negative on claiming races and a positive on allowance races. Had not thought of that, but makes sense.

Tomcat also indicated he would like w on all the cr columns but Ken is reluctant to add anything else. Betcha that gets in "next" version.

Agree with Hurrikane that the new impact numbers are better, especially esp.

Wiz, the above boys are right about old and new impact. The main difference between the two is that the old impact on TLC is Pacelines Specific just like in velocity screen <1>. The new impact figs are based upon proprietary PL selection. Just a matter of picking your poison.

Thanks guys,

Appreciate all the help guys............i have notice that the impact on tlc3 program does pick some great prices like the $ 73.00 horse in race 1 on thursday night at penn national.........George i agree on the W on horses in claiming races i personally don't like to bet last time winners in claiming races.............thanks again guys again for the insight........ :p

Thought I would throw this in this thread. More on the () in qpts of TLC.

3rd race at DEL, today....the 7 has 5 qpts with ().
I don't see the pace meltdown here.

Are these meant to show which horses will press the pace and so the number of brackets is the pertinate informtion or is it just that the bracket exists. Either way..why doesn't the 4 horse have brackets..I know he is short in impact for early speed but listed as an E horse should press or want the lead.

I never did hear an answer to this at the seminar..of course I could have missed it. (damn cocktail girls :D )

Hurrikane......there was a very brief discussion by Tomcat and Ken of the Q pt bracket. Tomcat couldn't remember why he wanted them and Ken said he wasn't sure but thought he bracketed up to 5 of the early speed types that would press.

Have been checking and have seen several where 7 horses have the brackets. Have seen a few where only one was bracketed and most times was winner or in the money.

Other than the single horse bracketed don't think it is very useful.

Well...that is too bad. One more factor against me in the battle against your K1 today.

The (x) around Q Points represent horses who were positioned 1,2 or 3 at 1st call in his most recent race.

thanks Glen...have you found a way to apply it?

No, but Georges idea sounds good. Lone (x) sounds interesting in paceless field. Will pick a couple (x) plays for POD (Pick of the Day).
