If I rename HTRDATA to HTR2002 as was suggested do I have to move it"s location so when I download todays info it won't be overridden? Can I just move HTRDATA without renaming it so it won't be overwritten? What do I do with the files in HTR,do they need to be deleted? How does all of this affect the TRACKPRO and the MODELER.

NO when you run htr it will make a new htrdata and puts the files in it.

Yes but you need to move it to a sub directory so that it is not directly under the c: drive
What do I do with the files in HTR,do they need to be deleted?
sort of
HTR does not recognize the year, so if you have any Jan 1st files in htr they will get overwritten. as long as you do not have conflicting month and days you are of, but this could be very confusing bet advice is keep different years separate
How does all of this affect the TRACKPRO and the MODELER.
Not 100% sure but I epect that trackpro and modler work same way as htr2002 as it relates to file structure maybe some one can confirm
