View Full Version : Combining queries

I have more then a dozen or so spot plays I run several times a day by clicking on each one of them. Does anyone have a way to run them all at once by clicking just once and being able to see all the horses that come up along with which spot play they belong to? I used to put everything into one query but I couldn't tell what spot play the horses came up under so had to run them all seperately anyway.

Bernie,
you can make several sub-reports and then put them all into one final report that will show each report/query with the name of the spotplay/query listed.
Likely Don or fred4now could explain it better. I got if from one of them.

Thanks Hurrikane,
Hopefully one of them will post something about how to do it.

one way to do it is to use a table for your spot play picks and then use vba to run your queries and to put spot play picks and spot play names in the spot play table. Then you can run a query on your spot play table and see all the spot plays.
This could be set up so that you press a button and your spot play table is populated
If you want to go this way let me know I'll help you set it up.

MikeDee,
I'd be interested in the process because I spend many hours changing dates in queries, running the query, printing it out (or writing down the results). Would prefer one-click method if it's doable. Please send your thoughts at your convenience. It will go on the "to do" list after Vegas.
Thanks,
Cliff

when you are ready send me more detail on what you want done. If you like the idea of puting your picks in a race day sopt pick table I can set up a module to do this and send it to you to incorporate in your db.

I did multiple spot plays with reports. HK was right, create a report based based on each spot play query. Then make a master report and insert each subreport. All the queries run automatically when you view the report.
