1. In what screen is GL* located?

2. In TCL 2002 help screen I cant scroll down and The X at the top right of the screen is missing. I have a hard time getting out of that screen. I have Windows XP. Any suggestions?

3. I read in HTR Monthly Report about a tester. The one I have in HTR2001 only tests a couple prameters. (K, Ev etc.) Is there another tester?

4. The only thing I downloaded was HTR2001. Is there other things I should download?

1. GL* (otherwise known as GL8) is in the Velocity Plus screen.

2. Alt+F4 closes windows like the help screen. I have no trouble, in Win2000, with the help screen. I have the X at the top right and a box at the bottom of the screen labled Close and scroll bars. Maybe someone running WinXP can help.

3. It is the only tester in HTR2001. There is a tester in the DOS programs that works with HTR.exe called Htrmodel.exe. Not near as easy to use as HTR2001.

On my HTR2001 the only things I can model is K,EV,LV,C9, P Scan. Can I add more things to be modeled or is this fixed?

When I go to the longshot screen. a print menu comes up on mu bottom tool bar and no X to get out of it.

Thanks Rick for helping

GAMBLER844...

The Tester in HTR2001 allows you to model and test a dozen or so basic items with ease - and I will probably add a few more - but not so much to take away the simplicity of it. There is beauty in simplicity (ease of use and understanding) and I don't want to complicate it.

The EXPORT functions in HTR2001 were designed to take care of the mass modeling of all the data without having to burden the program with technically difficult database functions. Using MS ACCESS software places the HTR data into a well established user interface that allows flexible and multiple item queries far beyond anything I could code for you.

So I won't be greatly expanding the modeling capability in HTR2001 because it would require a database front-end for HTR2001. That would blowup the program size and complicate it technically (bugs!), but would still not be as effective as ACCESS for handling the modeling. We offer a full day seminar each year on this and Donnie has written an excellent manual (free of charge available here) for beginners to get started. Our bbs ACCESS forum will also help out anyone because members are happy to answer questions on-line regarding manipulation of HTR data.

Thanks for your question that allowed me to elaborate on this. I'll print your Question and my Answer in the newsletter this time as others have asked the same via email.
