Looking at the Belmont on the Power Report, PG is ranked #1 on Cla at 112, then there are three with a 111, but each is ranked differently-why is Balto Star a 4 and Monarcos a 2?
Same type of thing in several differnet areas. If this is the way it goes into the models, aren't
they then misleading?
In the PP's, are the final figures actual speed numbers or something else? From the Derby,
Monarcos won, the pace of race number was 111, but Mon got a 110-even though he won. Beaten lengths of 4.8 = 3 points, 8.8 BL's = 4, 13 BL's = 11 and 32 BL's = 13.

Tom....there is a valid answer to each of your questions. Suspect everybody is waiting on Ken Massa to answer you. If you don't get a response from him soon I will attempt to answer.
I imagine Ken is rather busy getting ready for Las Vegas and probably has not scanned the board recently.

Thanks, George.
I imagine Ken is pretty busy-I wouldgive my right arm to be able to go the seminar,
but just can't.
Meanwhile, I'm reading to "old board" and the newsletters.
Love this HTR.

Tom,
I'm pretty sure it has to do with decimal points that are not shown in the program. Just like in PSCAN where we might have 2 horses ranked at 102.5 and another at 102.1. With CLA we don't get to see the decimals...

George is right ,as usual, Ken will have a more complete answer.
All ties were remove from the class rankings by first looking at jky-trn rankings......then on to other rankings if still tied(but I don't remember what they are) This insures that there are no ties in the class ranking( you would have to go back to the help file from 97-98 to find the answer).
The other question about how the horses race figure is calculated will have to come from Ken.....I once wanted to know how to find them if I should be without my computer.......soon gave up..... has a lot to do with class-n- speed-n-just a tad of voodoo !!!!!!!!!
