To All:
I arranged thru Steve's Florists to deliver a horseshoe shaped flower arrangement to the funeral home hosting George's service (they even called me back to see if I knew which way a horseshoe should be hung!! Always hang your horseshoes so the opening is pointed upward...so that your luck can be held as it falls upon you!!) The card that will accompany the arrangement reads:
Our hearts are heavy with the sadness of your loss. Our souls are thankful for the experience we have known as George Bloomfield. If there is a racetrack in heaven, George will be at the finish line with the winners!
--from friends and "family" at HTR
If you wish to contribute, don't hesitate to email me at mrdonn@hotmail.com
I will also send you Janet's address if you wish to send a personal note or card.
Any money above the cost of the arrangement will be sent to one of the two charities listed in the obit. I don't think I need to say anything about the outpouring....George was surrounded by friends here!
God bless each of you!

Wonderful Donnie, thank you for this gracious and perfect goodbye to our friend George.
Much appreciation as well to Wes for the difficult task of calling Janet. And to Gus for his heartfelt poem to a fellow horseplayer. And to everyone for the outpouring of kindness and concern.
Donnie, send me your mailing address asap - there are several other that want to contribute.
George will be looking down with a big smile when he sees that lucky horseshoe from all of us!
