Hurrikane,
As I remember it (now there's a dangerous phrase) it's an afterthought for the 76 field MSA, I think (another dangerous phrase) Ken originally said he included it at the request of a user, for us to play with it and "let him know if it is useful or not".
I think it is supposed to give you horses with clear early advantage, but not sure, I have never used or tested it.
I looked and couldn't find any documentation on it either. This is the sorta thing Glen always knows, think that four letter word must have taken him away from his true calling this a.m.

This is what Ken sent out when he first sent out HTR4MSAC.
Subject: HTR4MSAC from HTR
Ok, let's take a fresh approach to the HTR4MSAC custom version =
I have refurbished it , removed bugs and quirks, even added a new data field. Most importantly,
the exported output files are named differently than the public HTR4MSA.
1. Attached is the special export application HTR4MSAC.EXE (notice the "C"). Overwrite the
older version. This is dated April 8, 2000. Also, delete all older files created with the
original HTR4MSAC program.
2. Exported files are named xxx_MSAC.TXT
AQU = AQU_MSAC.TXT notice the "C" in the file name makes these unique from the regular HTR4MSA
The all-burger is named = ALL_MSAC.TXT
3. Data fields added 74 - 77
74 = "rLONEF" 1= only F running style in a race with no other F's or E's
2= only E running style in a race with no other F's or E's
0= not applicable
75 = "nEVDIF" 0 or negative value. The difference in the Ev (1st call) f/p/s from the top horse.
ex: -0.33 horse has a Ev rating that is -0.33 feet per second below the best in
that field
0 = top ranked Ev horse
76 = "nEPDIF" same as 74, but the EP (early pace, 2nd call) is used for the differential
77 = "rSPEED" ranking of the Cramer best speed last 90 days, from field 68, "nSPEED"
note that horses with 0 figure will be ranked last.
If all have a zero they will all be ranked 1.
Field 77 was requested by Chuck F. to augment the figure in field 68. The problem with
ranking this figure is that the "best in last 90 days" give many horses a zero that have been
layed off more than that. However, this rating could be very valuable with 3yr races methinks.
Field 71, nWIN$ is only recorded for the winner. Request from Dan O.
If you find bugs or functional problems with this software, or data errors, contact me.
Otherwise contact each other for questions regarding the data usage and Access import,
research, etc. thank you,.....ken

Thanks Rick. I like your answer better than mine, think I'll "borrow" it too.
