"and George takes the lead going into the far turn........."
Contest has passed the half-way mark and is very tight and competitive. About 50 players still fighting it out after 10 days and no doubt finding the experience valuable in your study and focus of picking horses. The dynamics of putting yourself at stake while in competition is a whole different ballgame than when playing for money. Handicappers need focus time and self-discovery, and these tournaments are perfect for that. Thanks to George, Dr Larry, TBrown and others that posted their personal insights into handicapping mindset on here lately - found it very interesting.
"Cuski" would have been a new leader after posting a $34 winner at MNR on Sunday night.
But it was his 6th play of the day and it wasn't counted. Bummer! But playing by the rules is another aspect of tournaments that can affect the outcome. So George holds on to the top spot going into the last 8 days - but almost everyone is just one longshot away from making the lead. Not to mention that several players have been laying low, saving their plays (like Donnie, that snake in the grass, waiting to pounce) until they see the totals unfolding.
Great work by Rick in keeping things well-organized, honest and a having a visually attractive set of totals updated as often as possible. Our site is getting tons of 'hits' right now with people from all over the planet watching the standings.
