Think I'll spread myself out a little on a Saturday, so many horses so little money.
$6 to win on each:
CBY r1 h4
FL r7 h6
PHA r1 h3
EVD r4 h4
All are multiple spot play picks and all are "clean 1's", with edges in EV1, ESP, FX1, and a nESD diff of at least plus 8. So let the races begin already, I'm ready to go!

Probably put the kiss of death on it but my spot plays liked the #4 in R1 CBY also Carl.
Speaking of kiss of death, after braggin about 11/12 winners went 5/17 yesterday. Also had first losing day out of 27 day test of a "place" spot play. Won't mention it in public again. :)
Don't know if this is my "best" bet today but think it could have good "value".
First start on turf, top trainer, impact shows some hidden early speed, short 5f race,
good first turf sire stats, under-rated jockey, MLO 12-1 so should get a price.
LS Race 9 horse #1 Kato's World
$1 ex key 1/2,3,5,6,9,11
$1 ex key 2,3,5,6,9,11/1
$4 win/plc/shw # 1

just checked the early start time tracks and WO is the only the listed as fast. FE, MTH, PHA, PIM, SUF,TDN, and RD are all listed as some varaition of wet.
You mudders have a ball.....I'll wait and see if I can find a fast track somewhere.

Boy, think it was the weather George. I'm thinking of turning my spot plays off on rainy days. 4 for 36 yesterday. Had a nice time playing WV last night for a while but you have to handicapp the mud. So..like mike...gotta look around for some dry ground....

Way to go Carl on your pick...My first rule of horse selection never pick a horse at a track you cannot bet.....pretty much assures a winner

Well Mike,
I had the 3 and the 4 both come out in spot plays at HAW. I know I did'nt them that hard. got the ex and tri just as you did..good pic..too bad they decided not to pay us today.
Carl..nice pop...like Mike though..I can't reach that track. So..on to my bet of the day...we're going to go to PRM..7th race..
the 1 horse comes out as a spot play +11 ESD and a lone E. wish he was going to go off at some odds and maybe with the 8 in there he will..but I doubt it.
1 8/1 4 6 7 8 $1 ex 8.00
1 8/1 8 7/2 4 5 7 $1 tri 14
hmmm...can't even get a dog for 2 bucks...ok..
2 win #1
Good luck to all.

Thanks guys.
And a little about Mike's secret to getting a winner (handicapping a track you can't bet.)
Well,I got my bet on FL horsey up with the Jamaicans alright, so I had to use my other two secret ways of getting this horse home first.
1) I cut my base bet down from $20 to $15 today. That pretty well assured me a winning day in general.
2) Then, to insure the FL horse's chances, I reviewed after scratches and found that it was only chosen by two plays then instead of three, so I cut my bet down from a triple to a double. This enhanced his chances greatly.
(Actually, I'm thrilled. Had a few other nice ones as well today, and of course as always...)

Gee Ken...looking at EVD....did you pummel the thing or are the lurkers killing us today?
unusual...that 4 started at 9/5 was 8/5 with 4 min to post. Finished otm at 5-1. Were watching the pools Ken?

Hurrikane:
After Carl picked his FLX horse the lurkers beat up on the EVD horse which was his 4th pik of the day. The rule should be that if everyone jumps on Carl's horses they have to bet offshore & save our odds.
Or maybe the Jamaicans are just protecting themselves!

Yeah, I can make anybody following my picks a small fortune.
As long as they start out with a large fortune hehe.
(Wait till I hit a few of my 0-fer-40 sequences. Had two in three weeks in February. The island economy got a big boost of of that one. Everytime I called my bets in I used to hear chuckles in the background.)
Nice call on the #1 PMR r7 guys, and congrats to Mike and Glen too. And any day that ends with a winner can't be all bad....

I'm ready to support the island economy. 29/1 @ CT (ESD +11) pays $23.60 to place & $12.20 to show & Winticket doesn't have CT tonite.
Hopefully things will improve when they move to Oregon from Ohio. MikeD's 1st rule of betting holds up again.

That does suck Mt. Ken. You want to be able to make your plays for sure, win or lose.
Which puts me up on a soap box to preach that every horseplayer needs as many outlets in this screwy "I'll take this bet today but not tomorrow" type of Lala land these off tracks live in.
I lost a few bucks myself today cause I have been using my Ladbroke for $5-10 bets, and today they didn't take FL (some days they do). Maybe I should have bet extra with ESB to make up for it, but I didn't. So that P.O.'ed me too.
I have five accounts open (ESB, Aces Gold, CTOTB, Ladbroke, OJC) and am currently active in three of them. I can pretty well bet everything going except RUI, LNN, BRD and ASD.
Some of the smaller tracks IMO offer good opportunity, especially if you can bet them outside the pools.

Ken....I don't get it..this is the first time I've run into not 'being able' to bet CT. I've run into EVD and PRM and usually when I have big play I want to make. They say it's up to the tracks what they want to make availible but I think there is something else going on...seems when they are not online some big pays happen..esp at PRM...
Carl..4 accounts..I can't even get my bets in on one..of course I have to w**K but still....
Glen...Carl..George..Ken..et all...congrats..atleast ther were some wiennersss today!!!
And about that secure tourney site Rick........or we'll have to use code to save the line..
Let see...I like Four lbs of Prime Rib Meat at Seven oclock to Wash my pallet...seems like a lot.

Anybody plans on opening up an ESB account, let me know, I get a $50 bonus for roping you in hehe. Check them out at www.telebet.com
At least they take every track they take EVERY day. And the 5% on win bets bonus adds up, and acts like compound interest too. If you bet $10,000 a month and break even, it's $500 more in your pocket. It gets added on automatically to your winning bets.
And yes, you better keep good records of your bets and double check for your scratches. Cause if you don't they will burn you, intentionally or no I can't say. But as long as you have your list of bets and the time you made them, no problem, they will straighten things out in minutes while you are on the phone. I find what they usually do when they make a mistake is miss late scratches.
My Yahoo board bud claims they pay good, I don't know yet, IF I ever work them up to $10,000 I'll find out. Till then, I really don't care. It's just money "in play" for me.

Just some more input on ESB, They have been averaging 5 miistakes per month for me but like Carl says they always fix it. I let one mistake go a couple of days and then it was a real hassle. Even though they claim that they take any track in North America there are still a few that they don't. Over all I like them, only improvement for me would be betting at web site so I wouldn't have to call.
